| 2016-12-01Time flies and it has been summer, autumn and now winter again. Life at the orphanage follows the seasons and all that implies.
On the 1th of May we celebrated Easter in Egypt. Easter is a big holiday, and that means that everything is cleaned and everyone gets new clothes. It is a busy time at the orphanage but there are many people who can help each other.

Newsletter March 2015
| 2015-04-07In this newsletter we will tell you about some children and young people who are at the orphanage. Everyone has a story to tell you! Some have none or one parent, others have both mother and father but they are coming from families with illness or other social problems. It would be a desire to be able to help them so they can stay at home with their parents, but for these children and young people we can´t see any other option.
Adel could hardly read and write when he came to the orphanage. He has got special help and developed very positively. He could start the school again and succeed now really well considering his background. He has a dream of becoming an engineer.
At the orphanage there are three sisters Randa, Rania and Nancy. Their mother is dead and their father does not care about their daughters. The orphanage is their security and their future. They are good in school and will be successful in life.
The money we collect goes straight to the DGSS children's and young people's subsistence and schooling. Your gift has a great importance to the orphanage to help!
Newsletter November 2014
| 2014-11-01I have had the opportunity to visit the orphanage on a couple of occasions in November. Each time, I think "Why aren't there more people here with me and experience life on EGSS (Evangelical Good Samaritan Society)?" My dream is that all of you could come!
Excursion to the Alexandria in June!
| 2014-08-28They were given the opportunity during a week and hang out and swim in the sea in a different environment than the one around the orphanage.
All appreciated the trip and enjoyed being in the water and sand.
